Yohann started hairdressing in Paris, where he trained and then worked at Michel Dervyn, Alexandre de Paris, Daniel Harlow and Mod'shair. He was assistant to Paolo Ferreira at Calisté, and shoots for fashion magazines and backstage at Paris Fashion Week. He has styled for Thierry Mugler, Chantal Thomas, Yoji Yamamoto, Valentino and Frank Sorbier.

Who we are
Founder & Art Director
Creative direction, competitions and photoshoots.
Born in England, Maisie travelled through Europe from the age of ten and has lived in Portugal for 22 years. She studied art before switching to hair and make-up, and trained at CEPAB hairdressing school in Lisbon — first as an assistant, then as creative top-stylist to one of Portugal's most renowned hairdressers. Her work appears in editorials and photoshoots and in world hair contests: she won the What Next Challenge Iberia from Sebastian in 2015. She also trained in London at the Vidal Sassoon academy and at Westrow academy.

Carla has been with &SoWhat for six years, after studying in Lisbon and continuing her training internally with the team. She is the salon sweetheart and a perfectionist: she will check every detail twice if she has to. Her continued education includes courses at Westrow Academy, Tony and Guy London Academy, and with OWAY.

Vanessa loves to travel and to live new experiences. She moved from Lisbon to London, where she finished her hairdressing course with Toni and Guy, and then to Macau. She has worked in London and Macau with a very wide variety of clients. A perfectionist in both cutting and colour, she confirms her decisions with her colleagues before she starts.

Creative Stylist
Natural colour, modern cuts and curls.
Kimi has twelve years of experience, specialising in natural colour techniques, modern cuts, curls and effortless individual beauty. She spent several years at Toni & Guy in Germany, both behind the chair and on the artistic education team, where she taught cutting and colouring and mentored new talent. She works with women and men, combining cut and colour. Building close client relationships is central to her work: for her, hair is more than aesthetics — it is a form of self-expression, confidence and connection.

Tim began at the Vidal Sassoon Academy in London, graduating with Distinction and Best in Class. He worked at Radio Hair Salon and at Bumble and bumble's London flagship, and then opened his own studio with Davines, building a five-star reputation. He is now in Lisbon with &SoWhat. His philosophy: style wins over fashion. Great hair is not following trends blindly — it is listening, understanding the person in the chair, and creating a bespoke look that enhances features, embraces natural texture and feels effortless.
